Puyallup Fair

Filed under: General — mmrobins @ 11:09 am

We were going to go climbing, but Kim got really excited when Waleska mentioned that she and Jacob were going to the Puyallup Fair. So we hitched a ride with them down to the fair to do some fair stuff. We wandered to start, trying to avoid the heards of teenage girls there to see some pop star whose name I thankfully can’t remember. We saw the animals. The coolest animals were the exotic ones that weren’t from this country. One of the coolest was the Jacob sheep, a sheep that had 4 horns coming out of its head. Apparently some have up to 6 horns.

Brian and Bridgid showed up a little later so we met up with them for a some food. We ended up all splitting a gigantic brick of fresh fries that we couldn’t even finish between 4 people. I’d say that was one of the few really good food deals at the fair.

We did a few rides that flipped us upsidedown a lot. I wanted to do the ride that’s just a bunch of seats on a big pillar, and it shoots you up into the air and drops you really fast without warning, but it was $10/person. Forget that.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a fair, but they’re all pretty much the same, some bigger than others. They’re fun, but I think I’ll be glad to not go to another one for a few years. The crappy food and crowds aren’t nearly as appealing or novel as they once were.

We left with Brian and Bridgid to visit with Brian’s friend Nigel at the Ram. I ate way too many mozerella sticks. Mmmmmm. .. Mozerella sticks.
